Reverend Akono Iyapo Ekundayo
Rev. Ekundayo was born (Kenneth Allen) on October 21, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Rev. Ekundayo graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1968. He also received a MACE degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rev. Ekundayo is the former pastor of the St. James UMC, Lonoke, Arkansas, Good News Community CME Church, Lithonia, Georgia, Divine Ministries of Faith CME, East Point, Georgia, Midway Memorial CME Church in (The Kelly Community) Shady Dale, Georgia and is currently the Pastor of Bethel Grove CME Church, Griffin, Georgia.
Rev. Ekundayo has been active in outreach ministries such as HIV/Aids Counseling, Gang Intervention Specialist, Volunteer Relapse Prevention Counselor, and Summer Youth Counselor.
Rev. Ekundayo served as Resident Manager/Recreation Supervisor for the Little Rock Job Corps for ten years and was the Director of Visions Unlimited, Inc. (a nonprofit he formed to address the issues of juvenile incarceration for pre-adjudicated youth.) He along with three other former employees of the Little Rock Job Corps formed the first African-American owned and operated Wilderness Camp (NewBirth Youth Development Center) in the Southwest and was funded by the State of Arkansas.
He is presently the Founder & CEO of EiKon Ministries, Inc. (2 Corinthians 4: 4), a new outreach ministry that will address HIV/Aids counseling and testing, homelessness and substance abuse issues in Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas.
